Teaching Assistant Information Event

Knowsley Community College will be hosting a Teaching Assistant Event this month to help those who may want to launch a career as a Teaching Assistant or for those wanting to progress in their career within a school.

During the event attendees will be able to find out more about the opportunities available, including courses and qualifications to help those who have an ambition to work in a school setting, and for those who already work in education who are looking to develop their skills. There is also an opportunity to discuss your options and receive advice on your specific training route, as well as gaining advice on financial support options available to students.

The qualifications on offer include the ‘level 2 Award in Support in Schools’, which is suitable for those looking to gain an introduction to working in a school environment as well as the ‘level 4 Advanced Practitioner in School and Colleges’ which both begin in February.

Nick Long, Curriculum Manager for Teaching Assistants said: “These qualifications are a great platform for those interested in careers and career progression as a Teaching Assistant. It is a great career path to choose, as there are lots of employment opportunities with predicted jobs growth of 8.2% projected by 2024.”

The event will take place on Thursday 25th January 2018, 3.30pm – 7.00pm at the Main Campus, Huyton, L36 3SD.
