Students Take to the Stage to Perform Alongside International Superstars
January 3, 2017
Students from Knowsley Community College and partner, MD Productions, travelled half way across the world to perform at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The group of students, who had rehearsed a range of dance routines for months in the run up to the event, performed to thousands of spectators before handing over the stage to international superstar, Rhianna.
The students also had behind the scenes access to the Grand Prix, with some of the best seats in the house.
Leigh Aldridge, HND Performing Arts student explained how she found the experience; “Dancing Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was a memory-filled, overwhelming experience that will stay with me forever.”
Lauren Spencer, also a HND performing Arts Student, explained how much she enjoyed the whole project; “I had an amazing weekend from start to finish – I never thought, 15 years ago, I would be stepping on a plane to Abu Dhabi, performing at one of the world’s biggest events- it’s not every day you hear some say they have achieved that! It just goes to show any dream is possible.”
This amazing experience follows the groups’ recent busy schedule which included performing at the Strictly Come Dancing Tour and opening the Justin Bieber wax work.
