Media Makeup Students Take Part in Scare Event

Knowsley Community College Media Makeup students have been gaining valuable industry experience over the Halloween weekend, playing a crucial part in an interactive scare event at Croxteth Park Farm. The Orphanage, which ran from 27th – 29th October, was developed and performed by Love Acting Theatre Company  with Knowsley Community College students supplying early 20th Century hair and makeup looks with a creepy twist.

Students were invited to stay for the show, if they dared, commencing with a short film viewing before guests toured the terrifying scenes throughout the farm, complete with jump-scares and interactive performances.

The event follows last year’s Scare Witch Project, also at Croxteth Park Farm and in conjunction with Love Acting Theatre Company, with tutor Kathryn Burns saying “ The event allows the students to get real life experience of working on a live production. We always have so much fun working with the cast to create the looks.”

Keep your eyes peeled over the coming weeks as our Media Makeup students will be taking their talents to the stage, when they gain even more experience providing hair and makeup for the Christmas show Cinderella at Lee Valley Community Theatre, 8th – 9th December.
