May 5, 2015
Knowsley Community College Student, Bethany Eden Owen, has found her Perfect Role at Woolton’s famous Liberty Tavern, run by Celebrity Chef Simon Rimmer.
The Liberty Tavern has become a popular hot spot of Woolton Village, since Channel 4 Sunday Brunch presenter and celebrity chef, Simon Rimmer transformed it into a colonial dining room from the 1980s, serving timeless American food, drinks and music.
Bethany, who has studied hard at Knowsley Community College for 3 years doing Professional Cookery at Level 2 and 3, was delighted to be offered the role of assistant cook and intends to work her way forward to higher levels in the kitchen.
Her Lecturer, David Critchely, said, “I am over the moon for Bethany and what she has achieved. She has worked relentlessly during her course, learning the different skills and techniques that I know she will transfer to her new role with ease. It is great seeing yet another KCC student landing a job in a top establishment.”
