Art and Design students showcase their artistic talents

Our Level 2 Art and Design Skills students showcased their artistic talents during an interactive lunchtime demo in our Main Campus foyer.

During their live demonstration the students used a variety of drawing techniques and tools to create unique pieces, whilst encouraging other students to get involved.

The students also displayed pieces they had created since starting the course just six weeks ago, including their impressive visual diaries.

Art and Design Tutor, Leanne Collier, commented: “The students have produced visual diaries and we have exhibited some of these in the foyer. The visual diaries are a creative way of documenting their hobbies, interests, feeling and emotions.

“The students on the course will learn about the diverse ways in which to make a mark or create a drawing. We explore a range of media and materials through drawing. We also feel it is important to create collaborative work and promote working together in groups.”

Take a look at their impressive work!
