During this course, you will cover a wide range of exciting topics, delving into the themes and ideas commonly found in contemporary poetry. You will also explore how reading and writing poetry can aid your wellbeing, including how to release your feelings into your writing to create powerful and emotive work.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

This course has multiple start dates throughout the year and takes 6 weeks to complete.

This course is delivered at our Main Campus, Huyton, L36 3SD.

There is no assessment.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

You don’t need any formal qualifications to start this course.

What are the course fees?

This course is free to study providing you do not hold a grade 4 (equivalent to grade C) or above at GCSE English level.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

After completing this course, you may choose to continue to develop your writing skills by completing a Creative Writing Course, or you could progress on to GCSE English or Functional Skills English to gain a recognised qualification whilst improving your skills and knowledge.
