This course is suitable for students aged 19 and over.

With winter setting in, learn how to use maths skills effectively to budget for a family using a slow cooker!

Using percentages, fractions, time and other number skills, the course will help you to improve your financial literacy during the current cost of living crisis.

Join us for two hours per week, for two weeks and claim your free slow cooker after you complete the course!

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

This course has various dates throughout the year. You will attend College for 2 hours per week, for 2 weeks.

This course is delivered at our Main Campus, Huyton, L36 3SD.

What will I study?

As well as developing a range of maths skills to help improve your financial literacy, you will also learn helpful hints and tips on budgeting effectively, how to shop smarter and understand discounts and special offers.

How is it assessed?

There is no assessment.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

You don’t need any formal qualifications to start this course.

What are the course fees?

This course is free to study providing you have not already achieved GCSE Maths at grade 4 or above, or an equivalent qualification.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

After completing this course, you could progress on to GCSE Maths or Functional Skills Maths to gain a recognised qualification whilst developing your skills and knowledge.
