This course is suitable for students aged 19 and over.

This course is perfect for those who are looking to launch a career in the nail treatment industry or for those who simply want to try a potential new career or learn a new skill.

The course is designed to develop your practical skills in providing basic manicure and pedicure treatments, whilst working towards a recognised qualification.

During this course you will develop knowledge of health and safety practices in a salon environment, along with client care and communication skills, required for working within the beauty industry.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

This course starts in January and will take 12 weeks to complete. You will attend College on a Wednesday morning, from 9.30am – 11.30am.

This course will take place at our Main Campus, Huyton, Liverpool, L36 3SD.

What will I study?

During this course, you will cover the following units:

  • Providing basic manicure treatment
  • Providing basic pedicure treatment
  • Health and safety in the salon
  • Client care and communication in beauty-related industries

This course will also develop your interpersonal skills and improve your confidence.

How is it assessed?

You will be assessed throughout the course by a combination of practical observations and portfolio building. You will be fully supported by your tutor with any assessments.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

You do not need any formal qualifications, just passion and a commitment to your studies.

What are the course fees?

The cost of this course is £362.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

Upon completion of this course, you may choose to progress onto a level 2 qualification to further develop your knowledge and skills.
