Foundation Degrees have been designed to be more vocational than traditional honours degrees and have more of a focus on developing the skills necessary to move into relevant employment.

A feature of our Foundation Degrees is a requirement for work placements in both years. 20 days in year one and 40 days in year 2. Students will complete projects negotiated with the placement provider and will submit these projects for assessment.

Modules on the programme are very much work related and draw upon real case studies to develop student skills and to assess student achievement of the learning outcomes.

HNDs have for many years been well respected by employers as vocational qualifications that prepare students for relevant employment.

Assessments are very much based on real work scenarios and the courses are delivered by practitioners who still work in industry and are supplemented by guest speakers from a range of relevant disciplines.
