To help staff and students of Knowsley Community College connect to the eduroam wireless network, this page provides instructions for connecting from a Mac.
These instructions should be followed whilst onsite at Knowsley Community College.
Visitors to Knowsley Community College who wish to use eduroam should have already setup their device based on their home site’s instructions before visiting.
Eduroam Mac OS X versions
To connect to eduroam you will need to download and install a mobileconfig file for Mac OS X, installing the file will configure your wireless network and enable you to connect to eduroam.

- Mac OS X 10.7 Lion
- OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion
- OS X 10.9 Mavericks
- OS X 10.10 Yosemite
- OS X 10.11 El Capitan
- macOS 10.12 Sierra
- macOS 10.13 High Sierra
Set up eduroam on a Mac (Mac OS X 10.7 or later)
The following instructions will allow you to connect to eduroam from Knowsley Community College campuses using a Mac.
Download
Download the eduroam file from the above list for the version of Mac OS X you are running. To find out the version you are running, click on the Apple logo in the top left and select “About This Mac”.
Install
Installing the eduroam file will prompt you to configure your Mac’s Wi-Fi Network, click continue to proceed.
Enter your college username and password and click install.
Your Mac Wi-Fi needs to be turned on to complete installation and connect to eduroam.
Enter your Mac username and password to confirm installation of eduroam.
An eduroam Wi-Fi network profile will now be verified on your Mac.
You can select the eduroam network from your Mac’s list of wireless networks.
