Role Profile
An Assistant Accountant plays a crucial role in providing support to internal and external customers, within accounting practices or the finance function of organisations.
Responsibilities could involve assisting in the day-to-day financial activities, such as data entry, month end management accounts, year end financial statements. In addition, roles may include supporting with regulatory financial requirements, such as the completion of VAT returns or assisting in the preparation of tax computations.
Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade 4 (grade C) or above, and AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting.

Assessment
Apprentices will complete an End Point Assessment, which will assess each of the knowledge, skills and behaviours detailed above.
Assessment consists of two elements:
- Synoptic Test
- Portfolio and reflective discussion
