Students at Knowsley Community College and St Helens College are celebrating another year of fantastic results with many securing top grades including an impressive 100% pass rate in T Level Early Years.
Several Level 3 courses also achieved 100% pass rates including Applied Science, Art and Design, Creative Media, Catering, Computing and IT, Early Years, Engineering, Health and Social Care, Music, Performing Arts, Public and Uniformed Services and Travel and Tourism.
Many students are thrilled to have secured a place at their first-choice university, whilst others have secured apprenticeships or are preparing to enter employment or further training.
Among the success stories is Harry, a Level 3 Computing and IT student, who has achieved D*D*D* and is excited to begin an Aerospace Software Degree Apprenticeship with BAE Systems in September.
Harry said:
“I’ve always been interested in IT and started coding at 13. Taking part in the Merseyside Police Cyber Challenge during my course was a great way to test my skills and explore potential careers.”
He added:
“Now that I have achieved these results, I am excited and optimistic for the future. I can’t wait for September when I start my new life!”
Another student with much to celebrate is Level 3 Early Years student, Alex, who has secured her place at Liverpool Hope University with an impressive A*. She hopes to one day become a Children’s Social Worker, inspired by the work placements she completed during her course.
Reflecting on her achievement, Alex said:
“I can’t believe my results – I’m so proud of myself. I’m excited to start my next chapter at university and in the future, make a real impact on young children’s lives.”
Rising star, Dale, a Level 3 Creative Media (Photography) student has achieved D*D*D*. Dale has made the most of every opportunity at College – winning two major national photography awards and appearing on ITV and local radio.
He said:
“In my two years at the College, I’ve built strong editing, camera, and studio lighting skills. Winning awards and appearing on The One Show has been amazing!”
College Principal, Simon Pierce, praised the students’ dedication:
“This is the highlight of our year – watching our students celebrate hard-earned success. Their achievements are the result of determination, resilience, and a clear focus on their goals.
It is equally rewarding to witness the pride of our tutors and support teams, who have been steadfast in guiding, encouraging, and inspiring our students at every stage of their journey.
These results are a testament to the strength of our college community and the power of education. We are immensely proud of what our students have accomplished, and we look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the years ahead.”
School leavers’ enrolment begins from 21 August.
