This course is suitable for students aged 19 and over.

This qualification is designed for adults who wish to change or advance their career in a range of health professions such as nursing, dental and pharmaceuticals which require the skills and knowledge across all sciences.

It is also a required qualification if you wish to go into teaching or health and social care.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

This course will start in September and will take one year to complete. You will attend college on a Monday, from 9.00am – 4.30pm.

This course is delivered at our Main Campus, Stockbridge Lane, Huyton, L36 3SD.

What will I study?

During this course, you will cover a wide range of units from physics, chemistry and biology to space and the universe, products of rocks, microbes and diseases.

How is it assessed?

You will be assessed throughout the course by a combination of practical and written assessments.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

Once you have completed this course, you will have the opportunity to progress on to a range of nationally recognised qualifications, such as health and social care or teaching.

Alternatively, if you are looking to enter university, you may choose to progress on to one of our Access to Higher Education courses such as Access to HE Diploma – Health Professionals.
