Students receive Elegant opportunity

Our Level 1 Media Makeup and Beauty Therapy students recently received an inspiring talk from local company, Elegance Productions.

Kerry Williams, owner of the company, was accompanied by co-workers Anthony Woodward and Holly Bentley, as they talked to the students about their upcoming annual charity pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

The students have been given a fantastic opportunity to work alongside Elegance Productions to create the looks for the characters of the pantomime, which takes place at Gateacre Theatre on the Saturday 7th December.

Kerry and her team ran through the required character transformations with the students and their expectations, as well as explaining the importance of work experience and taking advantage of every opportunity. Kerry has worked in the theatre industry most of her life and has produced various plays and short films, so she is fully experienced and knowledgeable about the work that goes into completing these looks.

The students will now work on perfecting their skills and techniques ready for the upcoming theatre production. We can’t wait to see their completed looks!
