Students explore roles in Health and Social Care sector

We welcomed Julie Clough, Operational Manager at the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Pharmacy, to College to inspire our Level 3 Preparing to work in Adult Social Care students.

Julie spoke to the students about her role within the healthcare sector, giving them an inside look at the different job roles available within a pharmacy setting, from dispensing roles to regional managers.

The students had a go at creating practice blister packs for a range of different prescriptions using sweets to replicate this process.

The session was thoroughly enjoyed by the students and has opened their eyes to roles they hadn’t considered before in the Health and Social Care sector.
