St Helens & Knowsley NHS Trust Staff Inspire Health and Social Care Students
September 30, 2022
Our Health and Social Care students recently enjoyed an inspiring talk from healthcare professionals from St Helens & Knowsley NHS Trust.
Nicholas, Head of Clinical Education at St Helens & Knowsley NHS Trust, was joined by a team of experienced Nurses, Operating Department Practitioners, Healthcare Assistants and Pharmacists, to share their experiences with our budding students.
The team spoke to the students about the various roles available within the NHS, sharing their own personal journeys, and the skills required for their job roles, whilst explaining what is expected of those that work within the health and social care industry.
Former student, Leanne, was a proud member of the team, sharing her journey which started at St Helens College on the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care and then went on to train as a nurse, and is now a Clinical Educator for St Helens & Knowsley NHS Trust!
Visits like these are immensely helpful for our students, helping them to better understand the roles and responsibilities of healthcare professionals, crucial information as they consider their career progression.
