Knowsley Community College is innovative and passionate about learning with an excellent track record of delivering high quality education and training from its centres in Roby and Princess Drive and at many employers’ premises. Their WorkWorld Centre located in Huyton, works in partnership with Job Centre Plus to offer dynamic short courses aimed at getting people back into employment.

KCC is currently looking to build on its ‘bank’ of qualified Tutors, Lecturers and Trainer/Assessors for 2014-2015 delivery across a range of programmes, including A Levels and BTECs, VRQs and NVQs.

They are now seeking individuals who are committed to excellence in the classroom or workplace and hold the relevant qualification(s) in the subject area. A commitment to promoting disability equality and meaningful progression routes for our learners is essential.

The subject areas are: Health & Social Care (Early Years), Health & Social Care (Adult), Sciences, Sociology, Psychology, Communication and Culture, History, Law, Religious Studies, Business Studies, Maths, English, Engineering–Mechanical, Engineering–Electrical, Motor Vehicle, AAT, Computing, Supported Learning and Sport and Fitness.

In order to be considered for a Tutor position, it is essential that you possess a Level 3 or above in the subject area.  A part teaching qualification would be desirable (PTLLS, CTLLS, etc)

In order to be considered for a Lecturer position, it is essential that you possess a Level 3 or above in the subject area coupled with a full teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, etc).

In order to be considered for an Assessor position, it is essential that you possess a Level 3 or above in the subject area coupled with an ‘A’ Award.  A ‘V’ Award would be desirable.
