Performing Arts Help Protect Local Heritage

Performing Arts students recently visited the National Building Centre in Llanrwst last week as research for a theatre piece.
They have been commissioned by the Prescot Townscape Heritage Initiative to create an original piece of educational theatre about the dying out of traditional building techniques and the importance of creating a new generation of craftspeople to ensure our old buildings and traditions survive.
Students will be attending a community workshop at the Playhouse Theatre this month, followed by a tour of listed buildings in the city centre.
The students will then tour their created educational piece around Prescot schools in April.
