Simon Pierce, CEO and Principal at Knowsley Community College said: “We are excited to offer a range of courses in the heart of our local community, to widen access to learning opportunities and to support residents with the development of essential skills for everyday life, education and employment. They also provide a strong progression route to other qualifications delivered at our Knowsley campuses. Our curriculum teams are looking forward to being out in the community from September.”

Cllr David Lonergan, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, added: “I’m delighted to be working with Knowsley Community College on bringing their offer into the community, making learning and development opportunities more accessible to more people. When the College decided to move out of their Cherryfield Drive base, it was important that we worked together to ensure learning opportunities continued in Kirkby. It’s essential that our residents and learners from outside of the borough can access the learning and development opportunities that they need to achieve and succeed.”

Courses are available from September 2024.
