Knowsley Community College Open Event

Knowsley Community College are set to host their Open Event next month to help inform young people in Knowsley and surrounding areas, of the opportunities available to them, helping to prepare for their next steps once they complete their GCSEs.

During the event, attendees will be able to find out more information about the courses offered at KCC including Vocational courses, Apprenticeships and A levels across a range of subjects. There is also the opportunity to receive advice on training routes, as well as the financial support options available to students.

In September 2018, KCC re-introduced A levels in Knowsley in order to be responsive to the needs and demands of the community, enabling residents to have access to a quality, local provider.

The choice of A levels on offer is impressive, with over 21 areas to choose, including traditional subjects such as English literature, English language and mathematics as well as more specialist subjects including politics, product design and computer science.

At the heart of the A level offer is an exclusive Professional Skills Programme. Three unique routes which are a carefully selected blend of two A level subjects plus a practical vocational qualification, created to stretch and maximise students potential.

Located across two sites, IAMTech Campus and Main Campus, KCC provides the latest technology and study spaces, housing many realistic working environments including state of the art recording studios, simulated manufacturing environments, commercial Hair and Beauty Salons and even an onsite Starbucks.
The Open Event is a great way to experience what student life at KCC is like and why it’s such a great place to progress.

The event will take place on Wednesday 7th November 2018, 5.00pm – 7.00pm.
