Construction students explore latest tools and equipment at Trade Day

This week, our Construction department hosted a Trade Day for our students and apprentices, alongside tool and equipment supplier GMS!

We welcomed a variety of suppliers and manufacturers to our IAMTech Campus, including CEF, QVIS Security, Aico, NTI Electrical Test Equipment, De Walt, GEDORE, Wilkinson Star, Universal PPE, Milwaukee and Draper Tools.

Our students had the chance to network with those in the industry, whilst exploring some of the latest products on the market, which they’ll be using in their future careers in the industry.

The students also had the opportunity to take part in a competition raffle, where there were some impressive prizes on offer kindly donated by the suppliers. Items on offer included welding masks, a ratchet set, PPE, goody bags and much more that they can use for their studies and beyond.

A big thank you to those who joined us for the event, and to CEF, who have kindly donated a complete professional electricians tool kit, which will be given out to one lucky student at the end of term!
