Catering Students Showcase Culinary Skills for Knowsley Youth Mutual’s Annual Members’ Meeting

Last month saw Knowsley Youth Mutual hold their first Annual Member’s Meeting, to celebrate all their achievements since launching in 2014. With over 180 guests, including 20 VIPs, the event organisers turned to Knowsley Community College to cater for the special debut event.

After being briefed to produce delicious canapés, the students decided to make a range of sweet and savoury mini bites, including Caesar salad naan breads, goat’s cheese and caramelised onion tartlets, salmon mouse flatbreads, lemon posset tarts and strawberry macaroons.

The organisers from KYM were really pleased with the canapés and said that they went down brilliantly with the guests. Peter Boardman, of KYM, quoted;
‘We were delighted with the service that we received. Your catering team met our brief perfectly and the food was thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance. In particular, the Cheese & Caramelised Onion Tarts and the Macaroons received special praise from lots of our members.’

Peter goes onto explain; ‘We are delighted with the value for money received and we would indeed be happy to recommend KCC in the future.
