This course is suitable for students aged 19 and over.
Do you feel that you lack confidence in using a computer? This course is a great place to start!
This course will help you to develop basic IT skills, which will support you with day-to-day activities, such as searching for information on the internet and sending or replying to emails.
You will be fully supported and guided by friendly, helpful tutors.
When will I start the course and how long will it take?
This course has flexible start dates throughout the year and will take three half days to complete.
The course takes place at our Main Campus, Huyton, Liverpool, L36 3SD. The course can also be delivered at a variety of our other campus locations.
What will I study?
Topics covered, include:
- Log in to and use a college computer
- Use an Outlook email account
- Search for information on the internet
- Saving and printing information
- Staying safe online
How is it assessed?
Achievement of the course is through completion of a workbook.
Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?
No previous qualifications are necessary. This course is suitable for anyone that is looking to develop their skills or progress on to an accredited course.
What are the course fees?
You may be eligible for funding if you have not recently participated in a similar programme, or received any other recent government-funded training.
There are a number of fee options for this course including:
- If you are unemployed – FREE
- If you are employed – £30
What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?
This course provides fantastic progression on to the Entry Level 3 Essential Digital Skills or another accredited course, depending on your goals. Your tutor will discuss this with you at the end of your course.
