Level 2 ITQ Certificate in IT User Skills
ITQ is an ideal qualification to improve job performance, find a new job or learn how to use today’s technology more efficiently. It consists of a cluster of units covering subjects such as Word Processing, Presentations, Spreadsheets and Databases.
This programme will be suitable for you if you have completed the ITQ level 1, ECDL or who are currently working and using IT to a good standard.
When will I start the course and how long will it take?
With flexible start dates you can start a course at any time during the year and study during the day or on an evening.
Ordinarily this course runs for 36 weeks, but you could choose to complete the qualification sooner with more intensive study, or take longer by studying at a more casual pace.
Study times available are Monday to Wednesday, with study available during the day or in the evening.
This course is delivered at our Main Campus, Stockbridge Lane, Huyton, L36 3SD.
What will I study?
A range of ITQ units using the Microsoft Office suite for example;
- Word Processing – how to format documents, mail merge, integrated reports
- Presentations – creating a presentation, using master slides, creating organisation charts
- Spreadsheets – Linking spreadsheets, using absolute cells, a variety of functions and combined graphs/charts.
How is it assessed?
The qualification will be achieved by completing an assignment at the end of each unit and a report for the mandatory unit.
Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?
Entry on to this course is dependent on your current IT skills and is subject to an informal interview. A good level of English is desirable.
What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?
Successfully achieving certification in ITQ can open the door to a whole range of employment and career progression opportunities. The course is also suitable for progression onto our level 3 ITQ Certificate in IT User Skills.
