This course is suitable for students aged 19 and over.
This course will provide you with new skills in culinary techniques and encourage you to develop creative ideas.
The course will explore the tools required for specific culinary tasks, the selection of ingredients, the methods required in the preparation and cooking, as well as the art of presenting pastry dishes and biscuits to impress. You will also learn how to make different biscuits, from shortbread to Jammie dodgers as well as tarts and pastries.
Start Date and Duration
This course is due to start on Tuesday 28th April 2026. You will attend college on Tuesday evening from 6.00pm – 9.00pm, for four weeks.
This course will take place at our Main Campus, Huyton, Liverpool, L36 3SD.

Assessment Methods
There is no formal assessment. You will be given feedback based on your progress with suggestions and guidance for areas for improvement.
As with all our leisure courses, the main emphasis is to come and enjoy!
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. The course is suitable for all levels of ability.
You will need to wear strong, flat sensible shoes and bring along an apron, tea towel, and an oven glove.
Please bring along a container to take what you have made home with you.
Course Cost
The total cost of this course is £130. This is a full cost course meaning that there are no fee discounts available.
The course price is inclusive of all the ingredients that you will need for each session.
