Inspire Childrens Services

Inspire Childrens’ Services was founded in 2009 and has quickly established itself as a quality provider of support and specialist residential care for young people with complex needs in communities throughout Lancashire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside. Working in partnership with local authorities and other professionals to provide a flexible care package to facilitate the support of young people and their families in a dignified and respectful manner is the cornerstone of our service delivery.

Inspire explain how Knowsley Community College have helped them as an organisation:

“In order to provide outstanding staff for our young people, we have been working closely with Knowsley Community College for a number of years. Our assessor from KCC, Michelle Woolley, is extremely approachable and flexible to the needs of the staff and young people.

This has then led to staff retention and most importantly, an outstanding quality of care for our young people.

Michelle will regularly make appointments with staff to carry out observations in an evening when the young people are home from education or activities. She is always considerate to take into account the impact that her presence may have on the young people and is creative in arranging appointments to suit every staff member and young person.

Due to Michelle’s commitment to our staff members in completing the relevant awards, their qualifications have meant that a number of staff have been promoted to more senior positions. This would not have been possible without successful completion.

Michelle’s support has had a “knock on effect” within the company, as staff feel a sense of achievement and pride in the completion of the award, leading to promotion within the company and a motivated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff team. This has then led to staff retention and most importantly, an outstanding quality of care for our young people.
