BEAUTY THERAPY 95 LEVEL 3 MAKEUP ARTISTRY You will develop the skills needed to pursue a successful career in the makeup industry and become an employed or self-employed makeup artist. You will gain a strong understanding behind the science of cosmetics and work to a high level providing hair and makeup services in media, theatre, performing arts, fashion and photographic industries. LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN THEATRICAL, SPECIAL EFFECTS & HAIR AND MEDIA MAKEUP Working to a high level you will learn how to provide hair and makeup in the media and theatrical industries. Explore fashion and photographic makeup techniques, camouflage, how to apply prosthetic pieces, body art and fantasy hair art. Entry Requirements: Level 2 Hair and Media Makeup qualification or equivalent. Duration: 1 year. Progression: You could progress into employment or freelance work. Entry Requirements: You should have successfully completed a level 2 Media Makeup qualification. Duration: 1 year. Progression: You could progress into employment or higher education. Apprenticeships are a great way to develop your skills and experience on-the-job, whilst gaining a recognised qualification. One of the many benefits is, you’ll get paid to do it. An apprenticeship is an actual job, meaning that you’ll spend more time out in the workplace than in the classroom. So if you prefer to learn by doing, then an apprenticeship is a great place to start. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS A grade 4 or above in your English and maths GCSEs is preferable.
