94 LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN BEAUTY THERAPY (TECHNICAL CERTIFICATE) Designed in collaboration with employers and professionals, you will explore waxing treatments, skin type analysis, anatomy and physiology, consultation techniques and client care. You will also have the opportunity to gain highly valued memberships recognised in industry. Entry Requirements: Four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English or maths, or a full level 1 Beauty Therapy qualification. Duration: 1 year. Progression: Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy. LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN BEAUTY THERAPY Gain the skills, knowledge and understanding to become a fully qualified Beauty Therapist. Covering both theoretical and practical aspects at an advanced level, you will learn how to provide a range of treatments through skin and body analysis, including electrical and manual treatments and Swedish massage. Entry Requirements: You should have successfully completed a level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification. Duration: 1 year. Progression: You could progress onto the FdA Spa Therapies and Management at University Centre St Helens or into employment. LEVEL 1 DIPLOMA IN HAIR & MEDIA MAKEUP Explore the beauty industry and learn an introduction to professional makeup and hair artistry. You will develop a range of practical skills such as hair plaiting, styling and makeup application. You will also develop nail art techniques, explore the art of photographic makeup and learn how to use temporary hair colour. LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN HAIR & MEDIA MAKEUP You will create intricate makeup and hair designs, body art and nail art and as part of enrichment, you will even have the opportunity to learn how to fake bruises, cuts and scratches for TV and film.
