138 LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN ADULT CARE Enhance your knowledge and take your skills to the next level to prepare you for a career in the industry. You will study key principles of safeguarding, causes and spread of infection, duty of care and dementia. You will also gain valuable work experience two days per week for the duration of your study. LEVEL 3 EXTENDED DIPLOMA IN HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE This course will advance your skill set and allow you to put the theory you learn in the classroom into practice with opportunities in the NHS, clinical settings and care homes. Explore what it takes to become an allied health professional studying public health, physiological disorders, infection prevention and control and caring for individuals with dementia. This course could also be studied as part of a cadetship if you are interested in a career as an allied professional. Entry Requirements: Four GCSEs at grade 4 including English and/or maths or a relevant level 2 qualification. Duration: 1 year. Progression: Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care. Entry Requirements: Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above in English and maths. GCSE in Science is preferable but not mandatory. Duration: 2 years. Progression: You could progress onto an apprenticeship, university or into employment.
