What will I study? How is it assessed? Entry Requirements What can I go on to do once I have completed this course? You can negotiate your own topic with your tutor and choose from areas of academic interest, current affairs or something related to a personal interest. You will identify, plan, research and carry out your own findings to share your outcomes. You will develop your research skills, apply organisational skills, justify your decision making and evaluate your experience to become a more independent learner. You will be expected to obtain and select information from a range of sources, analyse data and apply it relevantly to demonstrate your understanding of the topic. To complete the course you need to submit a dissertation, investigation, artefact or presentation of your findings. You will be invited to study the EPQ depending on your skills and your dedication to your overall A levels. You must be willing to work independently and have the drive to complete project. Any university would welcome the skills gained from successful completion of the EPQ. The skills that you will have developed, are fully transferable to degrees in any discipline. If you have an area of interest that you would like to pursue, and if you would like to extend and develop the crucial academic skills of research and analysis to boost your university study skills, the EPQ could be an excellent choice for you. The project is unique to you and you choose the area of research would like to focus on and present your outcomes at the end of the programme. Studying an EPQ qualification can provide you with an advantage to your university application and demonstrates your high level of skills.
