MUSIC REAL EXPERIENCES END OF YEAR SHOWCASE Music students put their creativity to the test at their annual end of year performance. They worked on everything from the performances, production, lighting and even promotion of the event. LEVEL 2 MUSIC This course will cover all aspects of music and explore what it takes to succeed in the music industry. You will gain knowledge in live sound, music composition, sequencing, producing a recording and composing, as well as industry management. Not only will you put on performances in the college, you will also perform at external venues. Entry Requirements: Two GCSEs at grade 4 and two GCSEs at grade 3. Duration: 1 year. Progression: Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Performance. LEVEL 3 EXTENDED DIPLOMA IN MUSIC PERFORMANCE Advance your skills and gain specialist knowledge and techniques to prepare you for university and a career in the industry. You will develop skills in contemporary song writing, music for moving image and audio engineering using the latest industry software and equipment. You will also explore the importance of marketing and event promotion. Entry Requirements: Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths. Duration: 2 years. Progression: You could progress onto university or into employment. 147
