HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE 141 MATERNITY AND PAEDIATRIC SUPPORT During this apprenticeship, you will gain experience in the industry as you work towards a career as a Paediatric Healthcare Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Maternity Support Worker. You will assist in the administration of medication, assist the practitioner with healthcare activities and undertake sterilisation and decontamination procedures. ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSION SUPPORT This apprenticeship is suitable for those looking to become an Allied Health Profession Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant. The tasks you will undertake include preparing patients for their therapy, assisting allied health professionals during treatment and contributing to record keeping. HEALTHCARE SUPPORT SERVICES This apprenticeship supports various roles such as Healthcare Support Service Worker, Ward Clerk or Team Leader. You will carry out a variety of tasks, such as assisting in the delivery of care plans, observing and recording fluid levels and maintaining high standards of service user care.
