ENGINEERING REAL EXPERIENCES QUEENSWAY MERSEY TUNNEL Engineering students visited the Queensway Mersey Tunnel to learn all about the engineering work and developments that go on behind the scenes to keep the city moving. The trip was a great opportunity for the students to gain an insight into engineering roles. LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATE IN ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES Learn the basic skills and knowledge of the engineering industry needed for progression into employment. Working in the workshop you will explore all areas of engineering from machine operations to principles of welding. LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN PERFORMING ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES – MECHANICAL ENGINEERING Develop your skills in our advanced industry workshops, exploring engineering techniques and principles. Study milling operations and look at how computer aided design is used within the industry. Entry Requirements: There are no formal entry requirements for this course. Just passion and commitment to your studies. Duration: 1 year. Progression: Level 2 Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations (Mechanical or Fabrication and Welding). Entry Requirements: Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English or maths. Duration: 1 year. Progression: Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Technologies. 125
