CONSTRUCTION 111 LEVEL 1 PREPARATION FOR CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRIES Explore all areas of the construction industry from joinery, painting and decorating and plumbing. You will learn modern industry standards and practices to help prepare you for work in a construction trade. Entry Requirements: GCSEs at grade 2 or above in English and maths. Duration: 1 year. Progression: Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation or level 2 Diploma in Plumbing. LEVEL 1 DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION Develop the basic knowledge and industry skills needed to enter a career as an Electrician. Learning takes place in a purpose built workshop mirroring a real life working environment. You will explore basic wiring techniques, testing, fabrication skills and develop a strong understanding of lighting circuits and sockets needed for use in domestic properties. LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION Develop your skills for a career in a domestic, commercial or industrial environment raising your industry awareness. Learn how regulations affect electrical installation and the underlying principles of electrical science, gaining skills and knowledge in specialist areas such as electrical maintenance and installing wiring systems and enclosures. Entry Requirements: GCSEs at grade 3 or above in English and maths. Duration: 1 year. Progression: Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation Entry Requirements: GCSEs at grade 4 or above in English and maths and a level 1 electrical installation qualification. Duration: 1 year. Progression: You could progress onto an apprenticeship or into employment.
