REAL CAREERS PATSY - APPRENTICESHIP After leaving St Edmund Arrowsmith School in Whiston, Patsy from Huyton secured an apprenticeship in Business Administration. “I benefit so much from an apprenticeship, already at the age of 17 I am earning a steady wage and gaining a qualification at the same time. I have gained so much independence and I no longer have to depend on my parents for money.” LEWIS - ART ANDDESIGN Following on from leaving Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School, Lewis pursued his passion for Art and Design and is now at university. “I chose KCC because it had awesome facilities, great tutors, staff and support. I hope to work in a design studio. To have the title of being a Graphic Designer will be nothing short of a goal I have been reaching for, for such a long time.” DAVID - CATERING Following on from leaving Lord Derby Academy, David gained lots of experience in the kitchen, securing him a Chef job at Miller and Carter. “I love how fast-paced the kitchen is. My future dream is to one day own my own restaurant.” 8
