Adult Course Guide 2020-2021
Neil’s Story Amy’s Story “I have always had a love of cooking, but balancing work and home life never gave me enough time to really develop my cooking skills. Some three years ago, I took early retirement and decided that it was time for some me time, so I booked on to the Spanish Delights short course at Colours Cookery School and enjoyed it so much, that I have since completed six cookery courses! The value for money is exceptional - not only do you receive fantastic tuition, but the ingredients are also included and of high quality. All the Chefs have real-life experience in restaurant kitchens too and the stories they tell whilst teaching you really adds to the fun. My confidence and repertoire have grown significantly since attending Colours Cookery School and I am proud to say that there is always freshly baked bread in our house!” “When I became pregnant, my role as a Care Home Support Worker became too much, so I decided now was the time to pursue my passion for makeup. I have loved every moment of my course and experimenting with different mediums and products has given me the confidence to be creative and express myself. I have had so many fantastic opportunities to build my portfolio too, including providing special effects makeup at Farmageddon! My tutor was amazing and made every lesson fun and exciting. She has truly inspired my long-term goal to become a Hair and Beauty Tutor. Since completing the course, I now work part-time at a salon, whilst volunteering at the College to gain teaching experience.” MEET SOME OF OUR ADULT STUDENTS Neil Colours Cookery School Amy Level 3 Diploma in Theatrical, Special Effects, Hair and Media Makeup
