This short course is specifically designed to support 16-18 year olds back into education. Combining a qualification in personal development, personal health and social education and a high level of support, this course will provide young people with new opportunities to engage in further education, training or employment in the future.
When will I start the course and how long will it take?
This course has various start dates throughout the year, and lasts for 12 weeks (1 term).
What will I study?
During the course students will:
- Explore personal strengths and barriers and develop skills that can be transferable in education and the workplace
- Increase social and personal skills
- Increase functional maths and English skills
How is it assessed?
You will build a portfolio of work which shows what you have achieved throughout the course and you will also receive regular, informal reviews.
Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?
You don’t need any qualifications to join Directions, just a desire to make a positive change in your life.
What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?
