This course is suitable for students aged 19 and over.
Based in our commercial salon, you will have an exciting opportunity to provide a range of treatments such as eyelash and brow treatments, facial skincare, waxing, manicures and pedicures to paying clients.
First-class client care and customer service play a key role in ensuring a professional and enjoyable salon experience.
When will I start the course and how long will it take?
This course will start in September and will take one year to complete. You will attend college three days a week.
This course will take place at our Main Campus, Huyton, Liverpool, L36 3SD.
What will I study?
During this course, you will cover the following units:
- Provide facial skincare
- Remove hair using waxing techniques
- Provide eyelash and brow treatments
- Apply makeup
- Client care and communication in the beauty-related industries
- Provide manicure treatments
- Provide pedicure treatments
- Follow health and safety practice in the salon
- Salon reception duties
- Provide nail art
- Create an Image
- Reception duties
Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?
There are no formal qualifications required for this programme, however, a keen interest in this industry would be beneficial.
What are the course fees?

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?
Once you have completed this course, you will be able to progress on to the Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments.
Alternatively, you may wish to develop your skills in a local salon or spa, travel the world working on cruise ships, embrace the rewards of retail sales or even become self-employed and grow your own business.
Additional Information
As part of this programme, you are required to wear a uniform. There is also a kit required to complete your assessments which can be purchased from a recommended supplier. You may be eligible for financial support to cover these costs. More information is available upon application.
