Level 3 ITQ Certificate in IT User Skills

This course is suitable for those who wish to improve their job performance. This is an evidence based qualification which will develop your skills, knowledge and understanding.

When will I start the course and how long will it take?

With flexible start dates you can start a course at any time during the year and study during the day or on an evening.

Ordinarily this course runs for 36 weeks, but you could choose to complete the qualification sooner with more intensive study, or take longer by studying at a more casual pace.

Study times available are Monday to Wednesday, with study available during the day or in the evening.

This course is delivered at our Main Campus, Huyton, L36 3SD.

What will I study?

You will use your problem solving skills and your existing IT knowledge to carry out research and to write an in-depth report. Through the work you do you will use a range of Microsoft Office 2013 programmes, to produce word documents, presentations, spreadsheets and databases.

How is it assessed?

You will be assessed throughout your course through research, projects and optional Microsoft exams.

Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?

You must have already completed the level 2 ITQ or have an equivalent qualification.

What are the course fees?

Course fees are dependent on your personal circumstances and you may be eligible for funding. For more information on financial support that may be available, please visit our dedicated Financial Support page.

If you are aged 19+ you could also choose to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover your course fees enabling you to study now, pay later. Loan eligibility isn’t dependent on income or employment status and there is no credit check. Loan repayments don’t start until you have finished your course and earn over £25,000 per year.

What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?

Upon successful completion of this qualification, you may choose to progress directly on to higher education to take your learning to the next level. Our HNC Computing could be the ideal progression route.
