Course Description
All College First courses include Vocational studies, English, Maths and IT. You may be involved in additional activities, ie visits and trips. You will join an induction to help you settle and it may be possible to take more than one vocational option.You will develop the skills you need for work, and will be helped to achieve your potential as a performer on instrument or voice. You will have the chance to explore opportunities offered in the Performing Arts industry, and to showcase your own work.
Entry Requirements
GCSEs: At least 4 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade E, including English and Maths.
or
working at relevant Entry 3 Vocational Qualification and
working at E3 English. (E3 Maths and IT may be required for some subjects)

Assessment: Assessed through continuous assessment of practical and written assignments, most of which are assessed by your tutors. Most assignments and Units are graded Pass, Merit, or Distinction. Two of the core Units are externally assessed.
Progression Routes: Disc Jockey, Lighting Technician, Make-up Artist, Prop Maker, Screenwriter, Stage Manager, Stunt Artist, Theatre Sound Engineer, TV Presenter, TV/Film Director, TV/Film Producer, TV/Film Production Assistant, TV/Film Production Manager.
