Course Description
This course is designed to provide advanced techniques associated with Barbering skills at a high level of competency. You will be developing your skills with the use of scissors, so a good level of clipper work is required.You will learn the skillls to complete a face shave using an open blade razor and hot towels.

Modules Studied:
- Promote additional services or products to clients.
- Monitor procedures to safely control work operations.
- Provide hairdressing consultation services.
- Design and create a range of facial hair shapes.
- Creatively cut hair using a combination of barbering techniques.
- Provide shaving services.
- Provide face massage services.
- Contribute to salon promotional events such as hair shows.

Duration: 55 weeks
Attendance Modes: Day
Assessment: Through a variety of practical tasks, witness testimonials, oral questions and written assessments in the form of projects, written tests and portfolio evidence. Key Skills tests and ongoing assessment.
Progression Routes: Upon completion of your NVQ you can go on to train as an assessor or as a Barbering Lecturer. You could also open your own Barber shop or work as a self-employed Barber.
