Course Description
The subject lays an appropriate foundation for further studies in Accountancy either at Degree Level, or through the Professional Accountancy Bodies which include AAT, ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA. The course introduces students to the processesinvolved in the recording of financial transactions and information, the presentation of financial information to stakeholders such as investors and financial institutions, and the preparation of information for management decision making.

Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, usually including English and Maths.

Assessment: You will be assessed by an examination in each module. This course will give you underpinning knowledge and understanding across a range of accountancy topics, skills in analysis and problem- solving, and in the communication of accounting information.

Progression Routes: Honours Degree in Accounting. Foundation Degree in Accounting. Professional qualifications such as AAT, ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA. Employment in an accounting role.
