Course Description
This course will enable you to acquire formal qualifications and a broad experience in art and design. You will be expected to carry out research, develop solutions and produce high quality outcomes.You will have the opportunity to work towards 3 GCSE qualifications in a range of art-based subjects, which will include drawing, painting, printmaking, 3D studies, photography and computer skills.
Entry Requirements
GCSE resits: Minimum 4 Grade Ds one of which must be English and/or Maths Pass in relevant Level 1 Vocational Qualification and overall Merit for BTEC Courses and working at Key Skills/Functional Skills Level 1 English (Maths and IT may be needed)

Attendance Modes: Day
Assessment: You will be continually assessed on two coursework units for each module in art ending with a terminal exam. This course allows you to work with a range of media across different themes. You will develop confidence in drawing and other art-based skills.
Progression Routes: Students often progress to higher level courses in Art & Design such as A Levels or the Creative and Media Diploma.
