Course Description
The course will provide you with a broad background in Computer Hardware (upgrading and repairing) and Software development (Programming with VB).You will be introduced to Programming Design Development, and learn Website Design, Networking (build networks) and Computer Graphics (produce digital graphics).
Entry Requirements
GCSE resits: Minimum 4 Grade Ds one of which must be English and/or Maths Pass in relevant Level 1 Vocational Qualification and overall Merit for BTEC Courses and working at Key Skills/Functional Skills Level 1 English (Maths and IT may be needed)

- Computer Systems (Repairing and Upgrading)
- Using ICT to Present Information (Using Packages, Word Processing, Databases)
- Networking Essentials (Introduction to building LANS and WANS)
- Website Development using MS FrontPage and Dreamweaver
- Software Design and Development (Programming using VB)

Assessment: You will be assessed through coursework. This course will give you a Level 2 qualification, equivalent to 4 GCSEs, and the potential to gain Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician.
