We are very proud of our reputation and of the success of our students, not only in terms of academic achievements but also because of the contribution which we make to the economic and social well-being of the community we serve. As a large further education college, we are confident that our programmes are varied enough and flexible enough to meet an extremely wide range of interests and aspirations. Despite our size, however, we take particular interest in the progress and achievements of each individual and offer a programme of support and enrichment which goes far beyond the classroom. The College also enjoys a deserved reputation for its work with local employers, both through its wide range of training and skills provision, to meet the needs of managers, apprentices and other employees and through our extensive Trade Union learning programme, “Union Learn.” Our Foundation Degrees and other HE courses are validated by Edge Hill University and provide opportunities to take vocational and professional qualifications to these higher levels. We are particularly proud of our highly successful accountancy courses (approved by the Association of Accounting Technicians) for which we are widely recognised as a centre of excellence.
