Mission Statement
Knowsley Community College is self-governing and responsible for its own affairs. The Governing Body are responsible for the educational character, mission and sound financial health of the College.
In carrying out their business, the Governors wish to be as effective as possible, understanding the nature of the "educational business" and the role of a Governor in a public education body as distinct from that of an executive director in a public corporation.
In particular, the Governors are required to operate within the terms of the Instruments and Articles of Government, approved by the Secretary of State for Education.
