30 Year 7 pupils from Knowsley Park Centre for Learning visited Knowsley Community College on Friday 18th June as part of the Aimhigher programme that runs in school.

The pupils visited both the Kirkby and Roby Campuses of the college as well as having the opportunity to take a look inside the studios at 99.8FM KCC Live, the local radio station based at Knowsley Community College.

While at the college the pupils had the chance to experience a range of academic and vocational taster sessions including; health and social care, sport, hairdressing, barbering, painting and decorating, interior design and an A-Level courses workshop dedicated to the A-level subjects studied at College.

Wayne Wardle, Aimhigher Support Worker at Knowsley Park said:

"The day was hailed a success and was enjoyed by all. The hope is to make this inspirational event happen on an annual basis and further strengthen the bond between Knowsley Park Centre for Learning and Knowsley Community College, which will provide the young people of Knowsley a further avenue down which they can achieve their potential and go on into Further Education."
