Who is eligible?
All students who are aged 16 -18 who are not in receipt of EMA.

Who will receive help with transport costs?
Students, who live more than 1.5 miles away from the College, will receive help with transport costs. The College will provide a Travel Pass once a Term and all students will be expected to make a small contribution towards the cost.

Will lunch costs be a cash payment and how much will I receive?
No, all students will be required to have a bank account to receive a weekly payment of £5 towards lunch costs.

Will I receive payment after my first week in college?
No, students will not receive their first payment until Week 3 of their studies.

Why is this?
The College will need to process all students’ bank account details. Subject to attendance and performance all students will receive any outstanding payments on Week 3 of their studies.

When can I apply?
College Pays will start in September 2011 and students who think they may be eligible are advised to call into Student Services, for more information on how to apply.

Will I receive EMA in my third year?
Yes, if it is your third year and you have been receiving EMA since 2009/2010, you will continue to receive your current payment.
